We don't want your data
Wedar has no accounts. We count visits with Google Analytics, and your saved places and settings stay on your device. If that changes, this page changes first.

The details
What happens when you use Wedar
- One cookie,
wedar_city, remembers the last city you opened, so the home page can take you back to it. It lasts a year. Cookies and storage. - When you open the home page for the first time, your approximate location from your internet address picks the nearest city. It isn't stored.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are off. In the EU, UK and Switzerland it sets no cookies. Google receives your internet address and the pages you open under its privacy policy; your Near me location is never sent.
- Like every website, our hosting provider handles your internet address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the service safe. We don't build profiles from them.
- The map loads its tiles from open map services, which see your internet address when you view a map.
